About Jodie.

Hi, I’m Jodie (She/Her)

A kind hello, and thank you for your visit!

As the owner and founder of FIVE3 Therapy, I am honoured and privileged to be apart of curating a wonderful collective of support through a variety of therapeutic modalities within our community.

As you consider taking the brave step to begin your therapeutic journey, I want to give you a HIGH FIVE! This can be a challenging first step. As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), I aim to walk alongside you as we work towards setting and achieving goals to increase your ability to cope, unpack trauma and increase your overall wellness. I hope to co- create a therapeutic alliance where transparency, warmth and vulnerability can be centered and where you feel empowered and heard. I strive to take a trauma-informed perspective and approach to my engagement with clients and hope to honour all individuals for all the intersections that make up their unique identity and life experience.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo in Social Development Studies with specializations in Social Work & Recreation Therapy. I worked as Recreation Therapist for many years which allows me to bring a niche eclectic lens to my approach as the owner of FIVE3 and into my sessions with Clients. I bring the perspective to therapy which acknowledges the complications that arise in life due to various broken and oppressive systems.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide array of individuals such as folks who have experienced complex trauma, newcomers, students, 2SLGBTTQIA+ folks, individuals coping with addictive behaviours and those experiencing varying levels of anxiety & depression, and borderline personality. I hope to employ tools from a variety of modalities to meet your goals.

Outside of work you can find me spending time with my family, and our 10 year old Golden Retriever Bentley! I enjoy travelling and camping. We also own a small charcuterie business that allows our creativity to continuously grow!
